Schüco AB ZDS in UDC 80 (Aliminium Blind ZIP Design Screen) – External, fully integrated textile solar shading with high wind stability

Schüco AB ZDS is a textile solar shading system that can be fully integrated into the Schüco UDC 80 unitised façade.
Schüco AB ZDS is the perfect solar shading solution for use in upmarket residential and commercial buildings. The Zip technology ensures a smooth fabric appearance and focuses on a slim and modern design through façade integration. Thanks to the integration of the external sun protection, the view of the building envelope remains unaffected. When extended, the Schüco AB ZDS system forms an opaque area that sets visual accents depending on the choice of fabric and colour.
Depending on the selected textile and fabric opening factor (0 to 14 %), the system meets all the requirements of modern sun protection: from opaque fabric with excellent glare and privacy protection properties to highly transparent textiles that ensure optimum external coverage.
Schüco AB ZDS has a very high resistance to weathering, withstanding wind speeds of 25 metres per second without any problems.

Special feature

The external Schüco AB ZDS solar shading system in UDC 80 blocks solar radiation before it hits the façade and enters the interior. Exterior solar shading systems are always more effective than interior systems and are the best possible solution against overheating of the building interior.

The Schüco AB ZDS solar shading system is supplied pre-assembled, ready for installation and already wound up in a closed blind box.

Schüco Green Facade – Appearance, thermal insulation and solar shading with plants

The special construction of the Schüco Green Facade enables facade greening for 2 facade types:
– in the Schüco AF UDC 80 unitised facade system
– in the Schüco FWS 50 mullion/transom facade system
Schüco Green Façade has a sustainable positive effect on the environment and the quality of life in cities.
Vertical facade greening has been proven to reduce inner-city temperatures and the heat island effect.
The facade greening as part of the Schüco facade produces vital oxygen, cleans the air of pollutants and contributes to improving the urban climate. More green areas on facades also beautifies the cityscape and significantly increases the quality of life and stay in cities.
Green facades also pay off for buildings and their occupants and users: Buildings are protected from the elements such as wind, rain, hail and UV radiation. The plants also efficiently increase heat and sound insulation and also provide natural shading.

Special feature

In the greened element, the plants take root and grow in a fleece filled with planting substrate.

The material is classified as a non-combustible building material (class A) for the highest safety requirements

Unlimited design freedom with Schüco FACID

Schüco SensTrack wireless – opening and closure monitoring for high security and building management

Schüco SensTrack wireless is a battery-free opening and locking monitoring system.
– Energy self-sufficient, sustainable and maintenance-free
Schüco SensTrack wireless functions without an external energy supply from electricity or batteries. The energy for the data transmission of the locking monitoring is obtained when locking and unlocking the window: The turning movement of the window handle sets the fitting in motion and moves the locking roller in and out of the Schüco SensTrack wireless radio locking piece. The absence of an external power supply makes locking monitoring using Schüco SensTrack wireless particularly sustainable and maintenance-free, as the solution works without batteries or a separate power connection.
– Increased security
Schüco SensTrack wireless detects open windows and, in the event of a break-in, can activate the alarm system integrated in the smart home system directly, for example.
– Energy efficiency
In addition, the sensor reports open windows to networked radiator thermostats on request so that they switch off during ventilation periods.
– Suitable for new build, renovation and retrofitting
Schüco SensTrack wireless can be directly installed and retrofitted in Schüco AWS window systems with Schüco AvanTec SimplySmart fittings. The system component is concealed due to its integration into the hardware groove and is installed in a concealed way. This leaves the window appearance unaffected. In addition, the concealed installation protects against manipulation and access from the outside.

Special feature

The wireless and batteryless radio bolt reliably sends signals about the opening status of the window and can be connected directly to EnOcean-enabled systems. Additional external gateways to KNX systems are also possible. Turning the window handle triggers an EnOcean signal with information about the locking status of the opening element, which is sent wirelessly to the receiving device.

Schüco IoF Internet of Facades – Elements with a future – digitalisation of the building envelope

Internet of Facades (IoF) is supported by a new module of the PlanToBuild software.
PlanToBuild enables the central management and use of data generated by Schüco IoF sensors. PlanToBuild also depicts information from Schüco IoF ID Codes.
This means the system also allows Facility Management staff to locate elements installed within the existing building in the model, access information, as well as initiating maintenance contracts.
The Schüco IoF (Internet of Facades) concept aims to digitise all elements within a building envelope.
A window can be more than just a window. The Schüco IoF Sensor allows digital monitoring of elements:
– maintenance data (opening cycles)
– state monitoring (closed / open)
– idea: Value recording (temperature, humidity, CO2)
With Schüco IoF (Internet of Facades) you can create a logbook for every element. All element-specific information, such as installation date, element type, documents, photos or the parts list can be assigned to the element. It is also possible to digitise the complete maintenance process from design to documentation using the Schüco IoF (Internet of Facades).

Special features

Application: Web application and mobile app for iOS and Android available

Schüco IoF ID: Thanks to an integrated NFC and QR code, a label on the element allows all stored data for each element to be viewed locally using a mobile device, via a mobile app, or back in the office using a web application.

Schüco IoF Sensor: gathers and transmits maintenance data, state data etc.

First fully concealed, profile-integrated sun and glare protection

The use of external sun shading systems is sometimes impossible or undesirable, e.g. in extreme external weather conditions or when planning the façade design. Schüco Integralmaster is an internal roller blind system with no overlaying cassettes and side guides. This means that the Schüco Integralmaster is concealed in the façade.
The Schüco Integralmaster is driven by a 24 V DC SMI motor. The curtain moves from top to bottom. The drive has an obstacle detection function. The roller blind cassette is mounted in a specially designed bolt using an installation-friendly plug-and-play system. An integrated blind guide in the mullion profiles of the blind that runs from top to bottom ensures glare protection without lateral slit light formation.

Special feature

Schüco Integralmaster is compatible with all conventional building automation systems.

Schüco Integralmaster can also be controlled automatically via a weather control centre.

Schüco AF UDC 80 (Unitised Dynamic Construction) – unitised facade with sustainable greening

Schüco Grid2Shell – free-form facade with specially prefabricated node units

Schüco Grid2Shell is a facade solution as a special construction.
It is a self-supporting aluminium-glass construction that can be used as a fully-fledged curtain wall and also as a light roof construction with an all-glass look for specific projects.
The all-glass SG profile solution with three-stage seal structure is connected via specially prefabricated junctions. Additional load-bearing or superstructure steel substructures are a thing of the past.
With the aid of a self-supporting plug-in system, Schüco Grid2Shell is easy to plan and functions according to the plug & play principle.
The high-strength, specially alloyed support profiles are simply connected with specially manufactured node elements without complex welded joints. The use of costly heavy-duty cranes can usually be dispensed with.
Triangular or polygonal grid elements allow individual shapes of the building envelope to be realised. Particularly unique

Special feature

In addition to the components of the Grid2Shell series, Schüco also provides support for static pre-dimensioning.

Planning requires software products such as Rhino or Grasshopper that support parameterised planning.

Data recorded in this way is transmitted via Schüco to the upstream supplier of the nodes. Subsequently, the individual connection nodes are manufactured on the basis of the final project model. Using these digital models ensures fast and secure order processing. During the production of the connection nodes, the node branches are numbered and unmistakably marked so that a plug & play assembly assigned to the support profiles is possible.
